 WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO EAT BEFORE A RUN?

Eating the proper foods before a run will help prevent early fatigue and burnout during your run.  Not having enough of the right foods can lead to low energy, muscle cramps and spasms. 

Pre-run snacks boost blood glucose levels and can top off muscle carbohydrate stores essential for longer, harder runs.  Timing is especially important when considering a pre-run snack.  A snack with the proper mixture of complex and simple carbohydrates should be consumed at least 60 minutes before your run.
